Terms and conditions

By booking with Penny's Pals, you are agreeing to the following terms and conditions.

 

Walking

You agree to receive a monthly invoice to be paid at the end of each month on receipt.

Clients wishing to cancel their dogs next scheduled walk must be done 48hours prior to the scheduled walk-in order to avoid a full charge.

Clients wishing to change their dogs regular scheduled day or time must be agreed with at least 1 weeks’ notice. Total cancellation of your dogs regular walks will require 1 months’ notice.

Cancellations due to injury or illness of your dog will be charged at Penny's Pals discretion.

If we cannot access your house or are unable to carry out the walk for any reason that is due to no fault of Pennys Pals, you will be charged the full fee.

 

Ad-hoc Walks

Ad-hoc walks may be available from time to time by agreement but do not hold a regular reserved slot.

All ad-hoc walks must be booked on the Saturday prior to the week in which you require that walk.

Clients wishing to cancel their dogs next ad-hoc walk must be done 72hours prior to the requested walk-in order to avoid a full charge.

You agree to receive a monthly invoice to be paid at the end of each month on receipt.

 

Daycare/Pop ins

You agree to receive a monthly invoice to be paid at the end of each month on receipt.

Clients wishing to cancel their dogs next scheduled daycare/pop in must be done 72hours prior to the scheduled daycare/pop in, in order to avoid a full charge.

Clients wishing to change their dogs regular scheduled daycare/pop in must be agreed with at least 1 weeks’ notice. Total cancellation of your dog’s regular daycare/pop in will require 1 months’ notice.

Cancellations due to injury or illness of your dog will be charged at Penny's Pals discretion.

If we cannot access your house due to a fault of yours meaning we cannot carry out the pop in, you will be charged the full fee.

 

 

Ad-Hoc Daycare/Pop ins

Ad-hoc Daycare/Pop ins may be available from time to time by agreement but do not hold a regular reserved slot.

All ad-hoc Daycare/Pop ins must be booked on a Saturday prior to the week in which you require that walk.

Clients wishing to cancel their dogs next ad-hoc Daycare/pop in must be done 72hours prior to the requested Daycare/pop in, in order to avoid a full charge.

You agree to receive a monthly invoice to be paid on receipt of the invoice. 

 

Boarding

All boarding is subject to a 50% non-refundable booking deposit due on completion of your boarding form. The remaining 50% of the fee must be payable on receipt of the invoice.

Boarding will be quoted based on the drop off and collection times set out by yourself, any changes to these times may incur an additional fee.

Any changes to the date of your booking must be by agreement and based on any availability Penny's Pals may or may not have.

Any first time boarding over 3 days in duration will require a trial night on a pre-arranged date to check your dog’s suitability for home boarding.

Boarding forms will be sent at the time of enquiry and must be fully filled out and deposit paid before any booking is confirmed.

Clients wishing to cancel their dogs booking within 28 days of boarding start date will result in 75% fee. Cancellations within 14 days of booking start date may be subject to the full boarding fee. Cancellations due to illness/injury is charged at Penny's Pals discretion.

Please note: There may be discretional charges for cleaning/damages if your dog toilets/destroys any property during their stay.

Other statements 

​

Doggy behaviour

Any behavioural concerns should be disclosed prior/at submission of your new client/boarding form, this includes but not limited to: separation anxiety, destructive behaviour, loud/excessive barking, aggression, resource guarding, reactivity.

Penny's Pals reserve the right to cancel booked services and apply charges if the dog displays  adverse behaviours under our care which were not disclosed by the client.

Bite History

Clients are required to provide full disclosure of any past incidents involving their dog, including but not limited to bites or any direct contact between their dog and other animals or humans.

Penny's Pals must be informed by the client if any new incidents occur prior to next use of our services.

Penny's Pals reserves the right to cancel all booked services and apply charges if it is discovered that the dog has a history of bites that was not disclosed by the client.

Photographs

We reserve the right to use any photos/images/videography taken of your dog whilst under our care for promotional purposes

 

Emergency contacts

Emergency contacts must be an individual who is available to take your dog if a situation arises in which you are not available to collect and the dog needs to be removed from the boarding premises. 

​

Dogs in heat/season 

Dogs in heat can not be walked by Penny's Pals. Please allow 2 weeks from the last bleed day before resuming walks. Dogs in heat cannot be boarded until 2 weeks after last bleed day. If a dog comes into season whilst being boarded the client will be contacted to arrange collection. 

If client is unavailable the emergency contact will be required to arrange collection.

Illness/injuries

You are responsible to inform Penny's Pals of any illness or injury that has occurred/is affecting your dog within the 2 weeks period prior to your walking or boarding service.

Any pre-existing illness/injuries that your dog may have should be disclosed prior to enrolment in our services on your new client/boarding form.

The client is responsible to ensure their dog has not eaten 60mins prior to use of our services to allow for sufficient digestion to reduce the risk of Bloat (Gastric Dilation and Volvulus, GDV)

The client is responsible for paying any vet bills that their dog may incur under our care if Penny's Pals is not at fault. 

In the event of your dog requiring emergency vet care, you give permission for Penny's Pals to use the closest vet even if it isn't the veterinary clinic that you use.

Weather

Walks may be cut short at Penny's Pals discretion due to adverse weather

​

Wet and dirty dogs

Penny's Pals will make reasonable efforts to towel dry any wet or dirty dogs at the end of our walk. However, in some cases, the dog may require a bath, and it is the client's responsibility to provide and administer the bath.

As our walks take place outdoors, your dog may return with plant matter in their fur. It is the client's responsibility to promptly remove any plant matter and thoroughly check for any harmful substances.

Liability

It is the owners responsibility to ensure the dog is up to date on all vaccinations including flea and worming treatment. 

Whilst every precaution is taken we cannot be liable if your dog contracts Bordetella (Kennel Cough) whilst in our care.

We cannot accept liability for your dog if statements submitted on your boarding form are found to be untrue.

We cannot accept liability for damage or loss of items left with their dog, including but not limited to: leads, collars, tags, toys, bedding, clothing.

We cannot accept liability if your dog injures itself or becomes ill while with us resulting in a vet visit if Penny's Pals is not at fault.

Client Data

Through engaging our services, you consent to the sharing of any data, including personal information, between Penny's Pals and Tornjak Trails. Please see our data agreement terms here.

​

Becky and Sam are both fully insured and licenced by Maldon District Council, our licence numbers can be found below and on the approved list on MDC’s website. As per MDC’s licensing rules, each property must be individually assessed and licenced so you will see us listed under Penny's Pals & Tornjak Trails.
